My Witty and Co Story

Back in October, I moved to the little neighbourhood of Galt in Cambridge, Ontario! After visiting the area for all of a half-hour, I was smitten so I packed my bags and moved into an apartment in a little century home. Upon moving here, within the first week I wanted to explore the area and popped into a few shops (The Witty and Co enters the chat). I was first caught by the ‘witty’ name of the store and the collection of plants and unique artisanal items in the storefront! Not 10 seconds into entering the store, a kind and happy voice appeared from beside me welcoming me to ‘The Witty and Co’! The fella had introduced himself as one of the owners and I proceeded to talk his ear off about how I had just moved in and he welcomed the entire rambling conversation and made me feel like part of the Galt community instantly! Well my friends, after that welcoming initial interaction, The Witty and Co became a store I frequented often, chatting with Greg and Simon when I pop in to grab some unique cooking items or new decor for my home! If I’m looking for plants, prints for the house, crafty spices, home decor, artisanal food items, or sweets, I am stopping by The Witty and Co!

About The Witty and Co

The Witty and Co is a home goods company that focuses on you and living your best life! Founded and owned by Simon and Greg, The Witty and Co is in the heart of downtown Galt, Cambridge and has everything from plants to stationary to beverages to cooking spices and sauces to seasonal decor - they even have wellness products! What’s great about the items in-store is that these products are not big box products - each item is carefully picked by Simon and Greg and many are from artisans and businesses right here in Ontario! Simon and Greg moved to Galt in 2012 and as they say on their website, “For us, this is a community that takes things slow, enjoys cocktails on the porch, impromptu dinner parties and knows their neighbour. The Witty & Co is our opportunity to reflect these values with an environment that supports community, products that are well made, tell a story and encourage you to congregate with friends.”.

Without further ado, here are a few of my favourite things in-store and online at The Witty and Co!

1. F’ YOU F’ ME MATCHES
   I have these in my restroom displayed on a gorgeous vintage tray and they just make me laugh every time I see them!

2. KANEL - ORGANIC SUNDAY ROAST SPICE MIX
   I personally use this bad boy on chicken but this classic spice mix with rosemary, black pepper and sea salt is a great addition to spruce up even the simplest of meals! The Witty and Co actually has a variety of Kanel spice mixes online and in-store, so I definitely recommend checking out their selection!

3. ROUTINE SEXIE SADIE BAKING SODA FREE DEODORANT
   Routine natural deodorants are the bee’s knees! Hear me out - it’s a cream formula and you just need the tiniest amount on your fingertips, apply and bam you’re good for the day! It’s great because it’s natural, has a very light smell, and is great if you have sensitive skin like me!

4. MIIR GROWLER
   I actually do not own this if I’m being honest but it’s on my shopping list for my next visit! It carries 4 pints and keeps your brew cold for 24 hours plus it’s a very lovely matte black that matches everything else in my kitchen hehe!

5. K+M HOT CHOCOLATE
   I mean delicious bean-to-cup hot chocolate, need I say more?
